This blood gives the baby more red blood cells to carry oxygen and has high concentrations of beneficial stem cells.

 You don't have to be a blood relative but you do have to be an appropriate blood-type match.

 We are awaiting a donor of a liver that will be a suitable match for my blood type, O positive, the most common type in this nation.

 I wanted to give blood because I hadn't given blood in a couple of years. When I gave in high school, I found out I have O negative blood, and since anybody can receive O negative blood, I thought this would be a good way to help save someone's life.

 No. That's not fun that way. That can raise your blood pressure doing that all the time. We have a type of team able to do that. We're not going to give up and quit. We keep coming at them. We were able to put something together.
