He took it hard gezegde

He took it hard not hitting and not playing and then being demoted. The guy that got him here [Tejada] is having a hell of a year, he's having fun and everybody loves him. All of a sudden, [Sosa is] second fiddle, and he's not used to that.

Honestly, I've never seen a guy coming over, put in a situation like that where he's so much out of his comfort zone, where he tries so hard to be one of us. He is one of us. He loves being over here. He loves coming to the dressing room, practicing, playing. He loves USA. He loves the country. He loves how things are run here.

Is the length intimidating? Well, when you're playing with Phil [Mickelson] like I was yesterday and he was hitting 50 yards by you, and he's hitting 7-irons where you're hitting 4-irons, then yeah, it's a different game. It's hard. Very hard.

It just never occurred to me. My sister sang, and so did my dad. I was the fiddle player, but then Rounder asked me to give it a try and see how it goes. Two hours of fiddle music -- even if you're a fiddle fan -- is a lot. (The singing) could open up a lot of doors.

Our game up there last year, we really started to see signs that we were getting better and our young kids were playing hard and learning how to play. I know everybody loves the worst-to-first (analogy), but last year was really just an uncharacteristically bad season for us.

Our game up there last year, we really started to see signs that we were getting better and our young kids were playing hard and learning how to play, ... I know everybody loves the worst-to-first (analogy), but last year was really just an uncharacteristically bad season for us.

I think that sparked something for us. We had been doing it all year, hitting hard, playing tough, playing physical, but I think being on that big Monday Night Football stage and playing a physical team like the Steelers made people notice.

We haven't quit, period. Ever. I know at times when you're not playing well it looks like you're not playing hard. . . . We've been playing at this pace the whole year. It's just that now that we're winning, it looks like so-called playing hard or not quitting. But these guys have played hard all year.

When he first came here last year he was even smaller then, and a new guy, so you really have to make a name for yourself and get the trust from your teammates. And he came up just hitting people last year on special teams, and then finally when he started playing on defense he was really coming downhill and just hitting big guys like Jamal Lewis last year. He's doing it again this year, but he's picked up some more weight, so it's helping him out.

He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. Last year was kind of a down year for us. We weren't out there for 200 dates last year, like usual. Don [Herron, the band's fiddle, pedal-steel and mandolin master] was off playing with Bob Dylan, Shaw was spending most of his time in Arizona, and I was in Nashville writing songs and doing my own thing.

I had seen his two daughters, but I was more interested in fiddle music at that point. As time went on, I became more interested in his daughters than in his fiddle playing.

Even though (Brown) loves the rookies he has - because they play extremely hard and he loves anybody who plays hard and plays right - he is at the stage of his coaching career and life where he needs veteran players. Larry loves guys who have been in fights and wars and know what to do every time they're out on the court. That's why I think he'd love to get a guy like Kenyon Martin .

Absolutely (hitting is contagious). You look at the way we were last year. Half of these guys weren't even playing. We struggled to hit. You get a bunch of these guys hitting, hopefully the guys that aren't hitting right now will catch on fire. When they all hit, everybody gets happy.

I wouldn't say that he has been demoted. The way I'd rather say it is that Sage Rosenfels has earned, through his efforts and consistency and performance through this preseason, the opportunity to compete for the number two position, and he's been put in a position to do that. I don't think anybody has been demoted.

I was happy with the way I started out the match, ... I was really playing well. I knew what I needed to do against her. She's a dangerous player if you let her play. The key for me today was hitting the ball hard, being aggressive, hitting it deep.
