 Violence is something that's very deliberately chosen - who sees it, the effect it has on the person watching, and the person performing the act of violence is more important than the violence itself. It's not about a gore-fest or how much blood you can show.

 More people than ever believe that violence has been very useful for Palestinians to achieve their national rights ... but it drove the public to draw all of the opposite conclusions. People want a focus to be on issues of rebuilding and reconstruction, and now there is less support for violence.

 On our part we have pledged that there will be no acts of violence. At the same time we want the government of Sri Lanka to ensure there shouldn't be any violence perpetrated against innocent civilians and the LTTE.
