We are thrilled to build on our early success in Cary by working with KB Home to create beautiful yet practical homes for an expanding number of communities across the country. And by creating a line of Martha's Choices products that reflect Martha's exquisite attention to quality, design and functionality, we hope to deepen our connection to the home and to our customers.

The supply of homes is very tight for new and existing homes. We will continue to see healthy home-price appreciation. For non-home owners, that's bad news. But for home owners, that's building wealth.

You?d look for a building site the same way you would look for any building site. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. Generally, the logs in a log home are the most common in that region. Around here, it?s cedar. Farmers use cedar poles for their fence posts for a reason ? they can stand up to local conditions and endure the weather. They last forever. So it makes sense that these are the right logs for your home.

I wish I could say I've traveled more than I have, but I pretty much stayed in one region and I'm sure there are a lot of places like it. To me it just seems so normal around there. It's my home. It's where I grew up. The faces around there look like my kind of people. I look at faces in other parts of the country and I don't get it right off the bat, but I look at anybody up there and it just looks like home.

This makes perfect sense because often the greatest damage to a home occurs when windows and garage doors fail. When that happens, the walls may be left standing but the contents of the home are destroyed. Hurricane Katrina has been a terrible natural disaster. Many of our employees and customers in the region have lost their homes and many of their possessions. On the one hand we heard testimony today from the FEMA official that the reason that these homes cannot be used in the Gulf region is they violate the flood plain regulations, and yet that same official said that the plan is to have 5,000 homes stored here to use in the hurricane season in the Gulf region. That seems inconsistent to me.

The meeting of Leaders of Thought of the Niger Delta coastal states will deliberate on issues of engagement with the relevant groups in the region - dialogue, confidence-building, employment creation and re-building of wholesome community spirit in the region.
