 There were the little things. Like his presence on the mound and the way he fields his position. He is our sixth starter.

 If he throws that many pitches going into the sixth inning, that's nice. He should be ready for seven innings next time out or possibly more. Everything was good, his mound presence. He looked comfortable. Everything kind of flowed today for him.

 We're pretty young as far as experience, especially on the mound. But all the little things I was looking for -- effort, being in the game, just having a presence -- things we've had some problems with in the past, we're all there. I thought we had a real good approach at the plate.

 Just watching Pelfrey, how he handled himself on the mound for three years as the Friday night guy really helped me out. He had an air of confidence about him. He had a presence on the mound, it's like 'I'm the best in the nation.' That's what you need to be a pitcher here.

 We found two large high-temperature fields and as we explored them, we would come upon a large mound of chimneys with superheated water jetting out of them. Then in the distance, we'd see another mound and then beyond that, another one, and so on.

 Lo is consistent. He's quietly consistent if you knew him. He doesn't say much. He's a solid player that is going to hit the open shot. He's a nice sixth man to have. I really consider him our sixth starter.

 To have a guy as your sixth starter who could very easily be your fifth starter -- we want to be a championship organization -- and that's the kind of depth championship teams have.

 I would think that he knows that when he came off the mound and was saying the things he was saying that he had to be putting himself in a position to be ejected.

 I don't know if this is going to keep him from being a starter. We'll see how he comes out of it, where he is when he comes back to the mound.

 We have another one, Sammy (Morris). I think that's something we've always looked at as a two-starter position, the running-back position. That has been my history as a coach, to always have two guys at that position that can play and share the load.

 As a sixth man, you get two opportunities to go in there and make some things happen. Probably once in the first half and once in the second half. As a starter, you're probably going to be logging a lot of minutes. You know you're going back in the game, but when you're coming off the bench, you have to do a really good job of trying to get yourself (going) in the game once you get in there.

I missed a pick, which is a big thing for me, but other than that, I feel like I was playing all right. But obviously, I wasn't.

 She's like a sixth starter. She's gotten to the point where she's playing with confidence.

 I had never planned on being a town manager. But I thought I had the ability and qualifications to take on the position. Once it became clear that I would not be considered for the position. I decided to move on and apply for the mayor's position. I believe in my leadership abilities and I want to work for the continuous improvement of Flower Mound.

 I remember it very clearly: He was very effective into the (seventh) inning. He's capable. He has a very good split-finger (fastball). He's an athletic guy and he fields the position well. Those things all help you.
