'American Pie' was a gezegde

 'American Pie' was a big movie for me. No one knew it at the time, but it allowed me to be offered such movies as 'Like Mike' and 'New York Minute' with the Olsen twins,

 I like doing films and I wish that I could do more but I still have to audition. I don't get offered starring roles in movies even though I've written and starred in a movie.

 God knows, it's all he ever talked about. It wasn't America he couldn't take. It was LA. The only other two places he knew of to make movies in were New York and London, and New York was too hard and too expensive.

 Every day, even today, you hear about it from fans, ... I knew the magnitude of it the first year I was in New York. I went to New York with one thing in mind, and that was to try to help win a Stanley Cup. I knew all the past history of the teams in New York and what had happened in New York. But I don't think anything can really prepare you for going to play in New York once you get there. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. Every day, even today, you hear about it from fans, ... I knew the magnitude of it the first year I was in New York. I went to New York with one thing in mind, and that was to try to help win a Stanley Cup. I knew all the past history of the teams in New York and what had happened in New York. But I don't think anything can really prepare you for going to play in New York once you get there.

 This year, Hollywood has not produced as many must-see movies. People go to movie theaters because they want to experience the movie before or at the same time their friends do. Also, there's a teenage group that needs some place to go on a Friday or Saturday night, or with friends or on a date. But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

 We only show an R movie if it's a big blockbuster. People want family movies here. Since we only have one screen, it's important that we pick the right movie at the right time.

 There was a time when Pakistani movies used to complete their silver jubilees, which means 25 weeks. This was because of competition from their Indian counterparts. Ever since the ban on Indian movies was implemented in 1965, Pakistani movies have deteriorated. A local movie now hardly manages to attract an audience even on its first day. It never reaches the second day.

 I love how one man in the press stood up and said, 'Wait a minute, there is something very wrong here,' ... Especially in the last several years, the press has not done that or not been allowed to do that -- take your pick. We don't have McCarthyism today, but history is repeating itself. . . . Money is everything, there is an arrogance of power, people speak up and are demoted. It's a wonderful time for this movie to come out.

 It's understandable, I think, with New York fans. That's why they call it a New York minute. They've got about a minute's worth of patience for anything. If I'm not mistaken, I think they were booing Rivera the other night. He's been pretty damn good. Nobody is immune.

 The voting for the September and October movies indicates people want to see the following movies, 'The Lion in Winter' and 'Breaking Away.' The final movie selections for September and October will be announced at the beginning of this Thursday's movie.

 That's why they call it the 'New York Minute,' I think. They have about a minute's worth of patience for anything. It's the nature of this industry, and anybody who goes through a tough time. If I'm not mistaken, I think they were booing (Mariano) Rivera the other night. He's been pretty damn good.

 [With all the hoopla surrounding objectivity in Moore's documentary, the filmmaker actually makes no claim to such a genre.] I don't know if you should call it a documentary, ... I think it's a nonfiction film. It's certainly not made up. Everything you see is real. It actually happened and I filmed it as it happened. But that word, I don't like that word. It has just some bad connotation to it. I set out to make a movie whenever I start one of these. I'm not thinking, 'Oh, I want to make a documentary.' I don't even know really what that means. I like to go to the movies. I go to three or four movies a week. I love going to the movies and I want to make a movie that I would go see. And that's what I set out to do.

 I thought our defense was the key for us tonight. We talked about that before the game. We knew that was going to be the key for us. The last time we played them, (Kate) Norton and (Melissa) Olsen combined for 25 points.

 One thing you typically see in martial arts movies ... it's very much of an Asian influence. [Then] there's the very hard-hitting, ... movie that's more American style. What we were trying to do here is blend all styles and make something a little different.

 [But the economy can affect whether people want to go see a movie when it finally hits the screens, and a desire to just forget a lousy economy can be a factor.] The so-called height of the movie business was in 1938 to 1941, during the Depression, just before World War II, ... Movies reflect the times we live in, but it's the audience's desire for escapism that brings us to the movies.
