 A good pitcher will keep batters off-balance. We're a good fastball-hitting team, so (Thomas) knew to not throw fastballs at our lineup.

 [Garland] wasn't picking at the corners. It was more like, 'Here's my fastball, now put it in play.' That's what we need from him. It was like he just went out there and tried to start all over.

 I wasn't really worried [at halftime]; I just wanted to come out and play harder. I don't like sitting on the bench a lot. I was fired up to go back in.

 We came out really strong in the first game. Our hitters did a nice job mixing up hits to both corners and our setters really did a nice job mixing up the offense.
