 That's definitely killed my chances, ... Bruce has said it a million times that he's not going to bring anybody in that's not playing regularly for his club team.

 It may be my last opportunity, but at the same time, I'm somebody who has really loved the role of starting for my club team and playing professional soccer. So all I can do is give it my best and show what I've been working all these years for. Whether that's enough is up to Bruce.

 Danny is an experienced player who is used to playing at the highest level. He has a fantastic ability to create chances and we are delighted that we have been able to bring him to the Club.

 I haven't lost hope but I think it is going to be very difficult. I am not playing very much with my club and usually it is only those who are playing regularly who go.

 Bruce has more than doubled his weight and the other boys have nearly doubled their weight. After being as malnourished for so long, Bruce needed special attention and has been put in a foster home by himself, and the other three live together in a separate foster home. Bruce regularly visits them.

 The first quarter killed us. We didn't play like we're used to playing. We were playing with half a team at times. We tried to press them, and I didn't think they had any bench. I thought we could wear them down, but we got tired.

 Bruce is one great baseball mind. During the year, I went to him a lot for advice. Bruce was relied upon by a lot of players on the team. If there's anyone I don't want to see go, it's Bruce Fields.

 Bruce said he's going to be monitoring my every move. I've just got to work hard and keep improving and bring that to D.C. United. If I do that, Bruce is watching, and he might give me that last shot to go in and prove something.

 It's my first chance of playing against a big team, but this season I've been playing regularly against better players in the Heineken Cup and it's given me a lot more confidence.

 A team like BC, when they get those chances, they're probably going to score on half of them. It's going to take us four times as many chances to get the same amount of goals.

 The guys at Maryland didn't know Bruce, and he was raw offensively. They were saying, 'Well, if he can be in the NBA, I know I can be in the NBA.' And I said, 'No, you don't understand what this man does.' He's got a commitment and a tenacity and a drive to not let you get anything cheap. A lot of guys use defense as a rest period. Bruce turns it up on defense. He expends more energy. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. It's who he is. It's the way he's wired. You love playing with him and you hate playing against him.

 I hate playing a team three times in the same year. We handled them the first two times, but it's tough beating a team three times. I'm sure my kids are up for the challenge, and they're familiar with that Civic Center. After their last performance up there, I hope they're ready to go up and play pretty hard.

 Our chances aren't real good, but we know who we play Saturday. Right now, San Diego is playing probably like they were playing last week when they beat the only undefeated team in football. They might very well be the best team in the AFC right now.

 (Dan, John, Ted and I) were always playing in the back yard. We'd grab a stick and start beating on each other. There were times when we were playing club lacrosse, we'd all be on the same field. That was kind of fun.
