 It was just an excuse. I guess it has something to do with the legislative session beginning.

 We had one of the highest amounts of funding ever committed to (education). 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. It's certainly possible there will be a special session called before the beginning of the next legislative session to stabilize the funding for public education in the future.

 My guess is the lateness of the session will be used as an excuse to just not stand up for it.

 They felt the legislation should be dealt with in the new legislative session that begins Tuesday rather than being rushed through in the closing days of this legislative calendar.

 It's kind of a mixed bag. Compared to where we started in the beginning of the (legislative) session it's a lot better. Compared to last year when we could sell directly to retailers, it's not as good.

 We did very well with the last legislative session and I think we will do very well in the next session so long as we can prove our case.

 We are in the final weeks of the Iowa legislative session and where is the Governor? He's been in Florida, Washington D.C. and New York, just in the past four days. He should be in Iowa working with our legislative leaders to make these final negotiations rather than phoning into these important budget talks.

 That's something he is looking at for this legislative session.

 In the beginning they came and told me that I can stand in front of the judge and tell him that I cannot go on and then I can leave. But then we're surprised to find that there is an actual session going on. I do not want to continue the session until my lawyer is here.

 It's too complicated for a legislative session.

 We never give up until the legislative session is over.

 The governor will have 40 days following the end of the legislative session. Until he's done that thoroughly we won't have a comment.

 Frankly, one has to wonder why they would want to poison the well so early in the legislative session.

 It's unworkable. It cannot be fixed in the remaining time in the legislative session.

 The plan is to do it in a regular legislative session. It's so important that no one wants to rush that debate.
