 I’m just thinking as a draw card, the more stuff we have in the Valley to bring people down here, the better, ... We’re losing a lot of our Winter Texan trade. Every year they have less and less to do.

 They're still thinking gung-ho winter in February, but March is iffy. In southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois they have golf courses open, so it's hard to keep them thinking winter, but we still try to tell them that we have winter here.

 You would bring in a different group of people. It will draw more people and it will draw the high rollers.

 That's a real good question. I think the reason is that people aren't thinking clearly. They're depressed. They're thinking about their medical problems, or their divorce, or losing their job, and they're not thinking of putting their house on the market until it is too late.

 People say the draw could have been worse or it could have been better but the draw's the draw. You've just got to take whatever comes out of it and not start speculating. Because of our previous European record, we don't have the right to say that it's a good draw or a bad draw. We've just to keep our heads down.

 Every year there are old people dying because they are too cold. The Chancellor has extended the winter fuel payments to the elderly until the end of the current parliament ... Some would say that transferring the money away from the oil companies was a fair trade-off.

 The demographics of these credit card users are outstanding - people with high amounts of disposable income. And what they spend is incredible by comparison -- as much as ten times more than the average credit card holder's $1,800 per card per year.

 I entered swimming this year, ... Bill and I used to spend some of our time in Green Valley, Ariz. When we lived in our winter home in Arizona, I did track and field, swimming, and softball throw. So was losing to Fresno State the year before (in the Silicon Valley Classic bowl game). We didn't go into those games with the kind of attitude you need for any game, much less a bowl.

 I think the proof is in the pudding. The Valley produces state championship contenders every year. Some people might not think that the Valley is that tough, but no one has proven otherwise.
