en I think it's surprising to some people, but not the people who know how the system works. We have not played very well outside of our conference. We lost some games that really hurt us.

en Arizona has lost some good people, and they play a tough schedule ? probably the toughest in the (conference). They have to dip. With the rest of the (conference) being a bit better, it's understandable to lose a few more games.

en We've lost a lot of close games, but I feel like things are clicking for us. It took us awhile to get adjusted to our new system, but we're excited about the second half of conference. We want to improve as much as we can and prepare for a good run in the conference tournament.

en Jeff Stallings was one of the top pitchers in the conference. We lost him towards the end of last year and that really hurt us. Joey Devine was one of the top pitchers ever in this conference, which he proved by what he did after he left here, making the big leagues in two months. Phil Davidson who was so versatile and played so many roles for us. He started, he came in in the sixth inning, came in the third, spot-started. He even closed some games. Phil was amazing for us. When a guy can do that many things for you, you're not just missing one pitcher; it's like you're missing three.

en We lost our first couple of conference games so we're just trying to get ready for the conference tournament. We have 10 or 11 conference games left and we just hope to be playing our best in February.

en I think it was just a conscious effort just to play better. I think if we had played like this throughout this losing streak a lot of games would have gone differently. I thought tonight, after the game a lot of players really hurt because of the loss. Early with a loss, we'd just get accustomed to it. This is a game that really hurt because I think that people really played their heart out and really tried to win.

en We did go through a lot of hurt when the church split. But one of the surprising outcomes was that when the people who were unhappy left, we were left once again with happy people. . . . We are and we continue to be a warm and welcoming place where people can come to worship.

en But you know what? The system that was put in place years ago works. And it works better than it ever has. There is parity, and this system keeps everybody in it. It's still a bit early this season, but there are two or three teams that look really strong and two or three that are really struggling. Everybody else is in the middle. Last year at this time, we were 2-4 and people were burying us. But we ended up in the AFC title game. Now we're 4-2 and we're scared.

en We were lucky to get the two games in. Both teams played hard under the circumstances. I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. You just can't control certain things.

en All year I felt like we played non-conference games in our league. Most every game we played was against a new opponent. It's different when you've played people and seen them face to face.

en When people see a wheelchair victim, people seem to think you've lost your brain. I need people to see that I hurt my neck, but I didn't hurt my brain.

en The government installing a system is a waste if the public still does not have knowledge about the system, and there is no party assigned to educate people on how the system works.

en In the last two games, you've seen our defense kind of clicking where guys are rotating. We're getting more deflections. You're finding less people getting good, open looks because now we have a better understanding of how the defensive system works.

en Certainly through change, some people get their feelings hurt, there's no doubt about it. Unfortunately, some of the people in some of the areas have lost the opportunity to see as many races as they had. But what we do is big business and what we do relies on a lot of people being able to see it.

en People that are probably hurt the worst are people that are coming from low-income areas that lost everything. As coaches, we're always rebuilding. Maybe we can come together and help some people rebuild their lives.
