 I want to get permission to move the trailer to this property, so we can live here while we're rebuilding our home. That's the plan anyway, well, as planned as someone can be five hours after a fire.

 Last Wednesday, I was about 48 hours from going home. I kid you not. You don't plan on going out that way, your last year and all. I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. [Stuff] happens, you move on, try to do the best you can do. I'd like to go out on a good note.

 The governor has said he is not satisfied with the temporary housing situation as far as getting the trailers out as fast as we possibly can. But there is no one to blame. The governor wants the trailers to be moved as close to the evacuees' property as possible so people can oversee the rebuilding. There is more involved than just getting a trailer to a site and leaving it there.

 This entire trailer was gone. They found it about 15 hours later dumped along the side of the road. We got the truck and trailer back, but our Yard-Man mowers, all of our personal stuff and about $7,000 worth of T-shirts were stolen.

 We're creating a community plan for each community and we're working with the county to revise some of its regulations to make rebuilding easier and more planned.

 I was awake a long time. I just laid there, wondering if someone was going to find me ... praying that I would live ... but not wanting to live. It was probably the craziest 13 hours ... just laying there not being able to move.

So whatever metric you decide on, it needs to be determined beforehand. That way, if a breakdown occurs, there's no decision; you just invoke the plan.

 Is this a mobile home, is it a mobile mansion? Is this 'trailer flash' instead of 'trailer trash'? There's all this jargon,

 Very few people plan for a stay in a nursing home. And I think that is because they think it will happen to someone else, or that they'll be able to live out their natural lives at home.

 [Only after that will contractors turn to rebuilding, and] that takes a long time, ... A lot of people who get insurance money for rebuilding don't do so -- they just move someplace else.
