As proud as we gezegde

 As proud as we are of you for the way you grew on the basketball court, we're even prouder of the way you've grown academically. You took the role of student/athlete seriously, and you're seeing the results of all that work now.

 Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man.

 Travis has been good for us academically, socially and basketball-wise. He's been a model student-athlete here.

 It's so important. That's the biggest part of being a student-athlete. I have to make sure I work just as hard off the court as I do on the court.

 The entire swimming and diving coaching staff is so very proud of all our student-athlete's efforts in the classroom. This type of accomplishment is only possible when each individual makes the commitment to be the very best student-athlete possible.

 The NCAA men's basketball Division I has grown to 330 schools. That's a lot of schools from the time the field grew to 64 -- it's increased by one. From that same period, Division I basketball has grown significantly.

 Ryan is a great example of what a student?athlete should be. Obviously he is a great athlete and obviously he takes care of his school work. Ryan is someone we are very proud of. He is a great example for all of our younger guys.

 I feel that traits such as diligence and confidence will help anyone to become academically successful. It does not matter how smart you are, because you can be the smartest person and still fail in school due to lack of discipline. Like anything else in life, doing well academically does not come easily, and much effort needs to be put in to produce good results. Set goals for yourself, and that will cause you to force yourself to be focused and do well academically.

 This award represents the tremendous amount of hard work Paula has done in the classroom and on the volleyball court. She mirrors the true student-athlete balance we are looking for here at the University of Kansas.

 Maria is responsible both socially and academically. She knows that as a student-athlete, you have to make sacrifices; you have to live healthy lives and Maria definitely does. We want our freshmen to model themselves after her.

 What we stand for is far greater than whether we win or lose on a basketball floor. We are all educators. Our responsibility is to teach these youngsters, whether they're basketball players or any other student-athlete we're working with, to set the right example.

 You must take care of the student-athlete. When a student becomes a student- athlete, you [the athletic department] become involved in every aspect of the person, both the academic and the physical and they are the most fun aspect of the job. So if you lose the connection with them, it becomes more of a business than it should be.

 The mistake is once a student-athlete, always a student-athlete. So you can't receive any funds or any goods once you graduate. I really believe it was a misinterpretation. I don't think it was an attempt to gain any advantages.

 He's grown up as a man and matured. He needed to. He didn't understand the commitment you have to make academically. He's willing to come back and work like crazy.

 There was a man so very tall,
That when you spoke you had to ball
Through both your hands, put like a cup,
His head was such a long way up...

He grew and grew - you could not see
Without a telescope his knee;
He grew till he was over-grown,
And seen by oversight alone!

 Women's teams have traditionally performed at levels a bit higher than men's teams academically, so that's not surprising. African-American student-athletes (male and female) are doing better academically than in the past.
