They dressed, spoke and presented their reports as if they were living in the Colonial times.

It's difficult for the Belgians, the Danes, the French -- it's difficult for them to believe that these former colonies have a religion that is of consequence. They get a kick out of insulting them.

 At night, the parents came to the Colonial museum to hear the students presentations. It was quite a culmination of our Colonial unit. I loved seeing their enthusiasm and excitement about their presentations. They were just bubbling over with excitement and pride.

 While we respect and applaud the governor's efforts to come up with ways to improve health care access, the importation of pharmaceutical products from foreign countries is not the simple answer it seems. Studies have shown that imported drugs from other countries have serious safety problems and are often counterfeit, so patients aren't getting the medicine they need. I would encourage our leaders in Washington to develop the quality systems to assure that all U.S. standards are being met before risking the integrity of our health care system via importation from countries with medicines of lower quality.

 Governor after governor after governor has done it, and he needs to do it. There's no other option, ... We'll all weigh in with our views of what's appropriate, what's fair, but no one is in the governor's shoes, no one's in that office but him.
