 Momentum definitely shifted to our side. I felt I needed to step up. Third quarter, I played awful. I thought it was really important for me to step up and make a big save.

 You go on the road and get a point, you have to be happy. I just felt we didn't step onto them after we got up. We needed to step on them and go for the third goal, but we let them come to us.  When we tied the game, it really felt like we were going to win. All of the momentum had shifted to our side.

 Luckily, we have 10 or 12 who are going to have to step up more, which is important. Obviously, we have a lot of finals experience in our side, and it's important for them to step up.

 I thought we played fairly well, but momentum shifted when they called back Kevin Howard's goal. We ended up killing the penalty, but it definitely killed our momentum.

 We are by definition optimists but I think determined would be a better word. It was a first step, an important step, but frankly it was one quarter of very modest profit and we are not stopping,

 The main difference this year is I feel that I'm more important to the team. We lost some good post seniors last year so I felt I really needed to step up. They needed me so I stepped up.

 We've had a lot of people step up when we really needed them to. It's cool because at just the right moment, someone will step up and make a play. It's great.

 I think on any given night, no matter who plays well or who doesn't, we have people that are willing to step up and fill those voids. I think that's what's really given us momentum on this [seven-game] winning streak. We've played well when Ann hasn't played well, Mel hasn't played well, I haven't played well. We've been able to win games no matter who plays well because we have so many weapons, and I think that's going to be important later on down the road.

 You had thoughts of it. When I was a kid [before] Jackie Robinson integrated baseball, he played for Montreal, which played against Buffalo, and I would go watch them play. They were one step [away] from the majors - guys like Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe. . . . I thought about being in that position, and there were many, many people who thought that I would make it.

 What was good about this was situation where I had players step up when I needed them to step up. Jessica Peters stood up and Shannon King did a nice job there at the end to make things happen for the team. She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs.

 We needed to step up our defense in the second half, because we looked and played a bit sluggish in the second quarter. We had to keep them to just one shot and to block them out from getting offensive rebounds. We did that and got some opportunities to score on the press break.
