The Flagler trustees and gezegde

 The Flagler trustees and staff are being recognized not for any single act but for half a century of restoration work on one of the most significant homes in America.

 In its century plus years of existence, it's had only two owners: the Flagler System and Flagler College.

 In April, I asked my staff to determine if Senate rules and relevant laws would allow me to direct the trustees to sell any remaining HCA stock. In May, my staff worked with outside counsel and with the Senate ethics committee staff to draft a written communication to the trustees. After obtaining pre-approval by mid-June from the Senate ethics committee, I issued a letter directing my trustees to sell any remaining HCA stock in my family's trust.

 If the city librarian refused to identify the names of the staff that she sent on the basis of her entitlements, she should at least be made to identify the limited number of employees that she sent at public expense. Is the limited number equal to the number of trustees? Or is it twice as many trustees? Or three times as many trustees? Or four times as many trustees? How many?

 There's a significant number of the staff, the normal, assigned staff, that no longer have homes to go to. So they are living and working in the hospital.

 The District Court indisputably abused its discretion. Other than the venue transfer in the Oklahoma City bombing case, there has perhaps not been a single criminal case in America in the last half century that so cried out for a change of venue.

 In the 19th century, ... the private house was perfected. That was a place that was all about the family to the exclusion of anything else, including work. All that has changed. Twenty million Americans work at home now. Half the households in America are without children. That's a huge number. Twenty-five percent of the households are people living alone.

 This increasing activism by the Justice Department seems to be applying a model of competition that applied to 19th-century America, rather than 21st-Century America.

 [Finding experienced staff still remains Taproot's biggest challenge and the single largest constraint on growth. Even so Taproot is now the largest independent Symbian OS software development organisation in North America. To achieve this it has pulled in people from all over the world including Europe, Asia, and North America. As well as employing experienced staff Taproot has also hired graduate students, which they have trained themselves.] I think, from a global perspective, skilled staff is one of biggest challenges for the Symbian ecosystem, ... Not just for us but Symbian, all the handset manufactures and ISVs, it is still a challenge.

 We've taken great pride from the fact that there is no more appropriate site in America worthy of commemorating the most significant event of the 20th century than the Rainbow Pool,

 This is the only thing that's going to prevent the road from washing away and Flagler Beach from becoming Flagler Beach Inlet.

 It is especially meaningful to us, because Judge Knott was one of our trustees for more than a quarter of a century.
