We're trying to transition this economy away from the consumer, but this potential war is getting in the way. That does not mean consumers are ready to go on a spending spree or a buying binge. Things are likely to remain at their current level.

 With economic growth being driven by consumer spending, the Bank of Japan will want to end quantitative easing soon to avoid the risk of the economy overheating.
