 Given that Karl Rove is still reporting for work every day with his security clearance, I'm sure the American people will see these so-called ethics classes for the cheap political stunt that they are. If President Bush were truly serious about restoring ethics ? not to mention his own credibility ? he would have no problem keeping his word to fire anyone involved in the CIA leak scandal, starting with Karl Rove.

 At the core, we are dealing with two parties that have fundamentally different views on national security. Republicans have a post-9 / 11 worldview, and many Democrats have a pre-9 / 11 worldview. That doesn't make them unpatriotic, not at all. But it does make them wrong. Deeply and profoundly and consistently wrong.

 Everyone knows Karl Rove is involved, ... If the president is a man of his word, Rove should be history.

The evidence supporting the warning, reconnaissance data left in a home in Iraq, later proves to be roughly four years old and largely out of date. Number 10. At 3 p.m. Eastern time, five hours after the President's speech has begun, the Associated Press reports that Karl Rove will testify again to the CIA leak grand jury and that special prosecutor Fitzgerald has told Rove he cannot guarantee that he will not be indicted.

 The mainstream media may have trouble resisting the temptation to declare that Karl Rove has been demoted, but the truth is quite the contrary. By giving up his role as deputy White House chief of staff, Rove has been freed to do what he does best: shape big issues and develop strategies to win elections.

 This isn't a media story, it's a political story. This was a vile attempt at reprisal and President Bush should be ashamed for not getting to the bottom of who leaked the name. Instead of worrying about what Miller did wrong for a story that was never written, the press should be concerned whether Karl Rove will be going to prison.
