Therefore, it is probable that additional citations may be issued as the investigative team finishes its work. Our employees on site will continue to address promptly any violations or other concerns that are raised.

 The Senate Appropriations Committee wants to hear from the Mine Safety and Health Administration in order to determine whether current regulations are adequate and if proper measures are being taken to enforce these regulations. It is important for the committee to know the federal government is doing all it can to ensure that another Sago mine disaster does not happen again.

 Some of the Sago miners requested that the United Mine Workers be their representatives for the purposes of this investigation, and they have a right to be there.

 The mine environment changes so rapidly that [erecting a barrier like the ventilation curtain Sago miners apparently tried to use] is really the last option you'd want to take. You barricade as a last resort.

 It was such a cathartic experience putting together our greatest hits because it reminded us of where we came from and gave us a clear idea of what we've grown into as a band.  Coal production will not resume at the Sago Mine until our internal investigation of the accident is completed and we can share those findings with the families and co-workers of those lost in that tragic accident. We hope to conclude those efforts in the very near future.
