Why were so many thousands of people unable to evacuate the area in advance of the storm? Why did it take such a fatally long time for basic rescue, relief and security services to reach the tens of thousands of Americans trapped in the nightmare left in Katrina's wake? What steps must we take to prevent a similar catastrophe in the future? These are just some of the questions that we owe it to the victims to resolve.

 There are several physicians who are feeling like they want to stay in the New Orleans area. They want to stay any way they can and they are looking at the hospitals that are likely to offer services when New Orleans is restored.

 I can't emphasize enough to viewers how serious FEMA is taking this storm. We've done a lot of planning for a hurricane striking New Orleans because of New Orleans lying below sea level.

 From when I was 4 years old, I spent a lot of time with my aunt in New Orleans. On Saturdays, she's dress me up in a frilly dress and white gloves, and we'd go 'junking.' We actually went to some of the best antique stores in New Orleans. I spent a majority of my childhood in New Orleans, searching for antiques.

 We always had contingency plans for a possible disaster in either New Orleans or on the Gulf Coast, but we never really planned on a storm so large that it would have an impact on both places.

 Everything that you didn't like about New Orleans, let's get rid of it. Everything that you liked about New Orleans, let's enhance it. Everything you dreamed about and wished New Orleans had, let's make it happen,
