 Friday is pointless. It's not really a fair thing for the fans or the teams. I'm not a big fan.

 It will be great for both communities. Friday night brings teams together and fans together. It will be packed. The fans will see something positive going on.

 We know some fans don't like change, but they can't argue that it's not fair. It's a fair process. For the first time in history, the fans will have a chance to select their own seats.

 Art is so wonderfully irrational, exuberantly pointless, but necessary all the same. Pointless and yet necessary, that's hard for a puritan to understand.

 Neither rain, nor sleet, nor a Steelers' pep rally (Friday), could keep the fans away from this. That shows the Pirates fans' allegiance is strong. This weekend is a testament to the loyalty of the fans of this city.

 The fans would have eaten him alive. I just decided that was not a fair thing for him. He's a great official.

 I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

 I don't know. I saw the travel list [Friday]. The first thing that came to my mind, well, after [Friday] was hopefully we won't have the same thing [a sludge spill causing a typical three-hour trip to take more than five].

 Fair is fair. I know what fair is. Other teams don't decide what fair is. I think the Seahawks definitely know.

 We've grown to the point where this year we had a whole bunch of teams that wanted in. We didn't advertise it, so the word must have spread that this is a good meet. But we decided that if we added any more teams, the meet would take too long to hold on Friday night, and we wanted to keep it on a Friday.

 It's one of the best things having the other teams' fans quiet, and it's something we feed off of. We've been on the road for a while so we've been feeding off of their fans, so I'm excited to see what we can do with our home fans behind us.

 It was two different teams. (Friday) night I felt we came out ready to play, and that was a big game for us. One thing I was afraid of was having a physical and emotional letdown, and I felt that definitely happened today. The feeling in the locker room before the game was mellow, and there wasn't much talk about basketball. Rice Lake came out and got after us. That's what good teams do.

 This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

 This is a great thing for the Trojans, for the North Stars - for the entire community. We're honored to have them join us on Friday, and can't wait for the hockey fans of Traverse City to get to offer their congratulations and to let these guys know how proud we all are of them.

 Our goal was to get race fans excited about coming to the track on Friday nights....something that will have them looking forward to the weekend. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. This schedule is aggressive and gives fans a variety of entertaining events.
