 I dislocated my other shoulder last year so I knew what the pain was going to be like. It was pretty sore so I had to go off.

 Back in my second year I had a dislocated shoulder and a separated shoulder. That was probably the hardest time I've had to play. Trying to play middle linebacker with two bad shoulders was extremely tough.

 I'm not going to say there's absolutely no pain, but I can play. Now it's just like going out and being sore. Everybody else is sore. You have to play with pain. So that's how I look at it. Let's just say I feel pretty darn good. I'm excited to see what (today) brings.

 I thought the guy did a pretty good job, considering we'd heard he was playing hurt (sore shoulder),

 Things were going real well and they still are going well with my shoulder. It was better than I expected. A month ago I wasn't looking to be where I was at. It (the knee) is what it is. I don't know really what happened and how it came about. It just kind of gradually got more sore and sore.

 It's not as bad as it was last year. It feels good today. I feel zero pain. Last year it hurt for about a week or so. I woke up yesterday and it felt a little sore. Today I feel no pain.

 Right now, it's just a sore shoulder and we're going to rest him this week. He may have strained some muscles in that shoulder. We're really waiting on an MRI to see how bad it is.

 I knew it was pretty sore (last week) and I could've played on it, but I probably would have hurt it more. I knew I had to get it rested, get it well so I didn't wind up being out for four or five weeks.

 I felt really strong. This is the first time I wasn't in any pain. Every other day, I've been sore. For the rest of the years, (beam and bars) have been the hardest, but I've been doing them so much now, it's the other two. I got those out of the way first and I knew I was good to go.

 I didn't know what to expect today. I was sore when I got up this morning, and I was really sore after the game last night. But it wasn't pain and that's the important thing.

 My shoulder is actually still pretty sore, but it doesn't affect my shooting as much as my defense. You have to go out there and play like nothing is bothering you. Pex 'Mahoney' Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. If you don't, you are not going to play as well.

 The determining factor's going to be amount of practice time, ... If he practices a lot, I would think his shoulder's not going to be really sore. If it's sore, then he won't practice. That's kind of the way it's been.

 I didn't notice a dramatic difference. The difference is if his leg is bothering him, he can compensate with his arm. But if he's compensating with his arm, he's not going to last very long. He'll end up not only with a sore leg but a sore shoulder. And Roger is a classic leg-driving pitcher.
