 Usually the Public Works Department does one, the parks department and water resources does theirs. It's a value that (county supervisors) will see it all in one place.

 I've worked with police departments both with the narcotics enforcement team and with the S.W.A.T. team all around the county, and I've gotten to see how other police departments operate. You pick little ideas up here and there. It helps you manage certain situations and it makes you aware of the resources that are out there and the things that you can do.

 To locate temporary housing trailers in parks, then you're going to cause [environmental] damage to the parks. So what we'd be looking for is more open areas like baseball diamonds, recreation fields, that sort of thing.

 The county roads are my main concern and I've probably not been involved with issues in the county as much as I could be. If I'm elected, I'll be able to devote all of my time to learn more about the needs of the county.

 The face of skiing literally has changed with the explosion of parks and pipes. Many of the resorts out there have started turning their resources toward terrain parks with features such as hits, jumps and rails.

 There are a lot of rehabilitation projects around the county that need to be done. We need to maintain the good roads and also fix the worst roads.

 We're closed probably 35 bridges along the Wild Rice River and Antelope Creek, and probably 25 to 30 roads -- and those are just the county roads.
