 It was always fun to play against Mike growing up. Now that we are on the same team, it's even better. At first it was weird to play with him after always playing against him, but living together made it a lot easier.

 There's a good young group, but it's going to take time to mold them into NHL defensemen. But that's part of learning. I went through it. Other coaches are going to put out the top lines against the more inexperienced defensemen. But in a way that's good, because then they get some experience.

 Not being with the team, it was weird. I was at the funeral and I was thinking about how the team was doing. But if I would have been with the team — and I had that option — I wouldn't have been in the right state of mind to run.

 I do feel there's unfinished business here, but I believe this team is headed in the right direction. I think the fans can appreciate the steps that have been made from last year. There's work to be done, and I don't feel like I've had the type of season I can possibly have for this ballclub, but yes, I'd like to be a part of it again. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself.  It's hard for the defensemen to clear people when you can't tackle them in front of the net. You can still play defense, but you have to work much harder. You have to move your feet, and defensemen have to be mobile, which is how we tried to build our team.

 A lot of things came into play and I was looking at the big picture. The teammates I have here were a big part of it. Without my teammates, I would not have scored a single goal or registered a point. We made some really good signings in the summer and with the young guys we will keep improving. If you look at your lineup, there are guys that have won and again can win a Stanley Cup. It never crossed my mind to leave this team.

 Indy is the next race and it's part of the championship and ... it's kind of special. I know the team and everything is going in the right direction, but it's too early to get emotional.

 This is a good group of young guys that's eager to play. When I was coming up with the (Minnesota) Twins, they called us a Triple-A team. But then we made the playoffs. That's the direction we're headed.

 I remember the situation Eldridge was in that year. He blossomed and started helping the team out. He made the game easier (for me). He gave me pointers, the same thing I'm trying to do to our young guys ? show them how to play the right way.

 We're moving in the right direction, and we're closer to where we need to be.

 When you can take the thinking part out of it and you can just play and react, it makes the game a lot easier. Right now, he's just playing.

 We learned to feed off each other even more this season than last. Her moving up top just made my job easier and our team better.
