 We did a great job wearing the defense down. That was our goal. We felt like if we could run successfully on these guys we could beat them.

 I had that one in my heart, and was thinking about it. It felt great. I cannot tell you how good it felt to block that last point and beat those guys.

 That's a huge play. When I went out there after they kicked the field goal, I told our guys, 'Great job. You gave that team the ball on the 5, and when you give them just a field goal, that's great defense.

 He felt he beat the runner, but I felt the runner was there first. He may have been a little upset he didn't get there in time, but he came back and finished strong and the defense played behind him. He did a great job.

 We didn't do anything different than what we've done all year. We used a different defensive scheme, and we felt our defense defended their Wing-T successfully.

 It feels really great. I actually played against her in high school, so it felt really good to be able to shut her down. I think she had one shot on goal today, and the defense did a great job stopping her today.

 The guys who would wear one were cheap-shot guys. That's where the stigma came from. I don't see that much any more. You've got power forwards wearing them, different guys. Everyone is wearing them.

 The other guys didn't make shots. When an opponent (plays a gimmick defense), there's a purpose in it. They want the other guys to beat them, and our other guys didn't beat them.

 The guys did a great job defensively. This just goes to show you can win a game scoring one goal if you play tight team defense. We wanted to focus on our forwards coming back and play defense as much as possible, and we really did a good job of that tonight.

 It was a tough game, but if we play good defense we can beat anybody. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. They beat us in the preseason and at home so we felt like we had something on our shoulders to prove to everybody.

 When it comes down to it, I wanted to win wearing this (USA) uniform. I was going to run to my best so that we could win. It wasn't like running against the Kenyans. Today, it would have been nice to beat my old countrymen. At some point, I felt that I let my teammates down.

 They battled me pretty hard, ... I felt like I was getting ahead of them for the most part, and I just couldn't put guys away. It seemed like I was in trouble every inning [with] baserunners. It was a tough game. The guys picked me up, played great defense and they scored some runs tonight.

 I don't think it will make much difference in the goal scoring. The guys will adjust to whatever they're wearing.

 Going to Tarboro, we felt confident about our chances, ... If we tackled Shaun, we knew we had a great chance to win the game. Players don't win, teams do. We weren't going to let one player beat 11 men on defense.
