 They have a point to prove to a lot of people, and they go out to prove that every night. They feel like they blew one last year, and the only way to prove that point is by winning it again.

Your job is to win the ball and give it to John or Tab.' I was like, 'Sure, no problem coach.'

Ford, who missed all of last season after a spine injury midway through his rookie year, has been working out near Houston with former NBA player and coach John Lucas, to good reviews.] I know this is going to sound like a crazy comment, ... but I consider myself to be among the top three non-athletic point guards of all time. And the other two are John Stockton and T.J. Ford.

 He shocked everybody. He told us he came here because it would be a pleasure to coach us. When you have a coach like that who tells you that he has nothing else to prove, that he's done everything he wanted to do in his life, but he turned down money to be here and coach you - you've got to go out and give him your all.

 Coach has shown he has a lot more confidence in me. I've just got to prove I have a lot more confidence in myself. I don't know about starting, but I'll probably get a few more minutes.

 A lot of people think it was a fluke that we won the comp last year. But it doesn't bother me one bit. We've got a point to prove, but not to other people. We've got a point to prove to ourselves, that we can back it up with another big effort this year, when it will be even harder.

 I think John has a chip on his shoulder this year to really prove that he deserves this scholarship that Penn State is giving him. It really seems like Johnny's on a mission to make his senior year a special one and to prove to everyone that he is one of the top pitchers in the league, if not the best pitcher in the league.

 The girls came out with a point to prove tonight. We've had a point to prove all season long. A regional final team, who loses seven graduating seniors? Nobody gave us a chance this year.

 I would like to see us build on our performance at the John Burns last month. There will be some very good teams in this tournament, so it will be a challenge. We played well there last year, so that should give us some confidence this weekend.

 When I was younger, I wanted to prove myself as a coach. But with the different things we have accomplished, now I don't have to prove myself as a coach. The main thing now is I just want my players to experience success and I want to see the smiles on their faces. I want them to have fun.

 I don't know what he has to prove, ... He's an everyday player, and they need to play him at one position. Confidence is very important for him, and I think that would give him confidence. I don't know why they're waiting to make him an everyday guy.

 I try to take everything my coach tells me personally. He told me to prove a point early, and that's what I tried to do.

 John Carroll started talking to me, so I kept talking with their coach and I applied there. The coach said, 'I want you over here next year.' It's a smaller program with high academics and a good wrestling program. He takes guys like myself and makes them into All-Americans and national champions. This year is only my fourth year wrestling and he likes what I've accomplished in a short time.
