The man of culture finds the whole past relevant; the bourgeois and the barbarian find relevant only what has some pressing connection with their appetite.

 This was a travesty, a violation of the public trust and it is something that Freddy Ferrer would not have permitted. That is money that could go into schools, into housing.

 Wisconsin hasn't won a championship in a long time and the United States had never had a championship at that point for the World Juniors. I think it's the same type of feeling that we have a chance to do something special for Wisconsin.

 Chief holds his department personnel to the highest standard and he and the mayor (Martin Chavez) have zero tolerance of a violation such as this of public trust.
