I hope he's in our plans. He trained (Thursday) and looked good. Personally, I'm a big fan of John's. ... He's a very good player and he's going to help us. It's just a matter of getting him on track and getting him healthy and getting him strong.

If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.

John has had 3-1/2 great years here. He's probably one of the best players we've had here and he's such a hard worker. He's confident, but not cocky. He's a good player and a good leader. He's elevated and motivated this team personally.

We tried to track him down starting [Thursday]. He was playing well. He looked healthy. We were happy with him, and he appeared to be happy.

I hope he's strong and he's healthy in the end. It will not only be good for Phoenix but the league.

Here's what it comes down to. As a football player you're trained to lie to yourself. You're trained to say, no matter how you feel, 'I'm fine. I'm the iron man.' It doesn't look good. He's already missed eight or nine days. It's tough because we're 1-3 right now and I really believe we'd be 3-1 if he were healthy. I think we would have beaten St. John's and we had a good shot at beating Pittsburgh if he was healthy. But injuries are part of the game and he's not there. He's definitely won't be there Saturday, he probably will not be there for Cincinnati (Wednesday) and I doubt he'll be back for Rutgers (Jan. 28) and Villanova (Jan. 30). If he came back too soon it could knock him out for the season.

If he doesn't have the injuries, he's in the $8-$10 million a year range. But he's been hurt, so we hope he gets healthy, and if he's healthy he has a real good deal. And if he doesn't get healthy, we still have a good deal for what he brings to the table.

That's what we've been able to do with John, have his sights set on a brighter future.

Kim is a real good person to have on the team because she is fun, but also knows when to take it serious, ... Leshia will play between the midfield and the attack. She is like a new player for us. We hope she can come back healthy.

It feels good to get back on a winning track. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. We hope to close out the season strong. We have another burst of confidence.

We got out there at eight this morning. There was so much new stuff, but we had it all ready about noon. I looked around and thought, 'OK. This is good.'
