 We need to show that Fairbanks and North Pole are solidly behind keeping Eielson. This is a big part of the race to save our base.

 This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.

 The discovery of the North Pole is one of those realities which could not be avoided. It is the wages which human perseverance pays itself when it thinks that something is taking too long. The world needed a discoverer of the North Pole, and in all areas of social activity, merit was less important here than opportunity.

 Either way, by realigning Eielson, the overhead to run the base is substantially reduced.

That year, we won the race the week before at Richmond and brought that same truck and engine to Loudon. Back then you would run the engine for a couple races. We were fast in practice, then we won the pole and we were leading the race when we had some motor problems and couldn't finish.

 By this letter I wish to formally notify you that I will continue to withhold my consent to the proposed realignment of Kulis Air National Guard Base in Anchorage and the 'warm storage' of Eielson Air Force Base until I receive assurances that the mission of the Air National Guard will not be compromised in Alaska,

 I think it was an awesome team effort, ... We helped bring it all together, but the credit really goes to Jim Dodson and the generals and other retired military officials who formed the strategic think tank to save Eielson.

 We sailed pretty solidly all week and today as well. Fortunes are won and lost pretty easily, race-to-race in this game. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. The guys all stayed level and we approached each race as it came.

 Fairbanks just lost two overtime games to Texas. Fairbanks is always good. They're an extremely hard working team and they've got two outstanding goaltenders.

 As ice flows across the lake, deep within the ice sheet, the internal layers diverge from the ice base in the south of the lake and converge to the ice base in the north. Thus, ice must be added to the ice base in the south and taken from it in the north.

 Now my eyes are turned from the South to the North, and I want to lead one more Expedition. This will be the last... to the North Pole.

 We worked on our race settings during practice, ... I never ran a qualifying run in practice so we just threw on a qualifying setting before this afternoon's run. The race is the important thing here. Sure, we would like to qualify on the pole but it doesn't matter here. You can win the race from anywhere on the grid. We think we have a good race car and that is the key for Sunday. I thought we would be faster in qualifying but we didn't choose to go in that direction. We'll be ready for the race.

 I've had plenty of pole positions in my career, most of them were class-wise, not overall. It's a big one for me here being on the pole for such a big race. It's also good for the guys. We have a brand new package with the Crawford and Porsche. The guys at Alex Job Racing worked really hard.

 It means a lot. This base group has been together for a long time and they do an awesome job every week. Our performance has been better and you knew we had a fast car when we're on the pole and for me to qualify as fast. Our DeWalt Ford was awesome all day. I'm just so thankful to have the opportunity to drive these race cars. It's a lot of fun.
