 IBM's business model is to operate in the high value segment of the information technology market. High value means high margins, and it means you can get a return on the research and development dollars you spend.

 Given the current yield curve, it's an extremely challenging environment for that segment right now. I would be in favor of them selling it at the right time, but the segment probably doesn't have an optimal valuation right now.

 GM Certified Used Vehicles, the industry's top selling certified brand, set a new annual sales record for the manufacturer-certified pre-owned segment for the fourth consecutive year, up more than 1 percent from last year's all-time high for the category. Certified GM brands again led all manufacturers with 2005 sales of 532,379 units, and we look forward to growing our leadership position in the certified segment in 2006.

 This segment, which is focused on the business class and people who don't want to stop three or four times during a flight, promises high margins and is an area airlines want to appeal to.

 This eludes me. I wouldn't choose Pacific Internet to be part of my portfolio. The ISP segment is a narrow one relative to the overall [Internet] segment, and buying a stock that's offshore makes it an even less-desirable investment.

 Manufacturing is gaining strength heading into the second quarter. We have a level of capacity use that justifies more business investment.

 Furthermore, it justifies the significant investment in the event by title sponsors Dunlop and hosting partner Manchester City Council .

 It will prove appealing to very high net-worth players as well as the typical investment community. The reception in the investment market for this property will be very high.

 Revenue was up one percent, and earnings were flat. The only group really growing is the consumer segment, and they have the lowest margins.
