We got lazy and gezegde

 We got lazy and we got away from our systems. We did it before in the first round and we've done it in this round. We've lost our focus and to me that isn't acceptable for a team that won 30 games this season.

 Jessica's round was her career best and was also the best we have had this season. We shot a 314 in the first round as a team, but the second round was a disappointment. Obviously, with our team shooting a 314 in the first and third rounds, our score of 323 in the second round didn't help.

 It's always tough when you lose in the first round. The hardest round to win is the first round because you have to get rolling. Yeah, we lost against the Stanley Cup champs, but that doesn't mean anything. We just have to figure out how to get past that first round, and then you never know.

 I was really surprised that the American team lost to the Mexican team, because we thought somehow the Americans would be the world's best. And because of that notion, when we lost the second game in the second round, we never thought that we would be able to be playing in the next round here.

 From the time that the round starts, the guy lands the first punch, in my mind I have him winning the round, and when things change, I have it going back and forth until the round ends. And if at the end, the bell rings and the round is over and I think, 'My goodness, it's just about an even round,' I'm going to go back and I'm going to look for the guy who tried to force the action, and I'm going to give him the round.

 The last few years we got knocked out in the second round, the first round and the first round. It didn't help us then. You have to play well to win games in this tournament.

 You don't have any choice but to keep fighting. We certainly didn't plan to start out this way. But there's no quit in this team. Like Coach Craft says, this season is a 12-round fight. We've lost the first two rounds, but we've still got 10 games to go. What's the sense in packing it in now? The Mountain West championship is still within our grasp. Who's to say we can't finish 10-2?

 We were going through the first round of district and I was sitting there thinking I can't wait until the second round so I can see if we have some improvement. It's been 100 percent improvement against everyone and we got a couple of wins in the process. This team played three games in three nights. I was proud that we competed in all three of these games.

 I was real proud of the way our team came back and played in the final round. We were 17 shots behind after Monday and it would have been easy for the guys to mail it in.  It's absolutely incredible. If you go back two or three years, those first-round games look a like a Sweet 16 group. I looked at the bracket [Sunday] and that's when it finally hit me how strong this league was this season. The teams that are playing just to get to the quarterfinal round ... it's unbelievable.

 The first three were Stuart. We'll see when I have three dozen in front of me. They say the hardest thing to do is hit a round ball with a round bat. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. I think it might be harder to use a round ballpoint pen on a round baseball.

 None of our seniors have ever lost a first-round game, but I've been around long enough to have lost in the first round. Every win in the state playoffs is to be enjoyed.

 I don't know what it is about the second round, but we just seem to step it up. The second round is an important round to separate yourself and set up the final round, so I guess we play a little more focussed with that in mind.

 The biggest thing about the first round is everybody's anxious. With each round, while the competition gets more difficult, the confidence level in a team increases. The best thing about today is our players kept their focus and intensity and came out and gave us good, quality play.
