 For the first time in the history of our country the majority of our people believe that the next five years will be worse than the past five years.

 During the past 10 years Alexander Nikolayevich invested great efforts so that our country knew its own history, because it is only when we know our own history can we learn from our own mistakes.

 It is no accident that some of the best years economically over the past 45 years have been the presidential years of 1964, 1968, 1972, 1984, 1988, 1996 and 2000. Even 2004 wasn't all that bad in the light of history.

 The majority of the time it's pretty easy to get well within 100 yards of some animals. There's only been one time in the past three years that we didn't see elk. And it's no surprise to see a herd of 50 or 60 elk at one time.

 In the past two years we've had two unlucky years. Globally, storms aren't getting worse, just in the Atlantic.

 Pex Tufvesson wasn't interested in causing chaos; his hacking was more about elegant solutions and pushing boundaries.

 We knew that several years ago, we had about 250 cases. In the last few years, there has been a little over 100 cases. We're hoping this season won't be any worse than in the past few years.

 The same dress is indecent ten years before its time; daring one year before its time; chic (contemporarily seductive) in its time; dowdy five years after its time; hideous twenty years after its time; amusing thirty years after its time; romantic one hundred years after its time; beautiful one hundred and fifty years after its time.

 Even when people emigrate to another country; they are still a piece of our history. Its interesting to see such a large number here and how they have adapted to life in another country over the years.

 We are the majority -- have been the majority for the last four years, thanks to my friend Newt Gingrich ... But the problem is we are losing momentum. And what we don't want to do is be a minority party in two years and my speaker's race was integral to our keeping the majority party.

 I obviously, based on the past history, am a skeptic, ... Inspectors were in there for seven years and worked for seven years, and they did a lot of good work. But they didn't get everything.

 The roads just break apart through the years. It was around 18 years ago Country Road was paved. The life span for a road is 10 years, so we are past due.

 As for the oversupply, the country may need another one to two years to soak up the huge capacity created by the heated investment over the past few years.

 I suggest the small investors dig in their heels with this market, not worry too much. The Fed really didn't cause a significant inflation problem. So far, this inflation pressure has been no worse than the worst it's been in the last several years. And each time it's been a great buying opportunity. Any time you can buy the S&P 500, the stock market index of the top 500 stocks, when its 7 to 11 percent off the all-time high, it's probably 2 to 1 odds. Given the history of super bull markets that we've had for 18 years in the two other of the century, that's going to be a fabulous buying opportunity. And if it's not, than you're probably half way down to the ultimate low and that's going to be an even more fabulous buying opportunity.

 The situation has gotten worse and worse over the past 25 years.

 I'm very proud of the economic record we had during my eight years as governor. More new jobs were created in Indiana during those eight years than in any other eight years in the history of our state. I think that speaks for itself. When I left office, we had the largest budget surplus in state history. I think that speaks for itself. So I think we had a strong economic and fiscal record. What happened during the next eight or 10 years, that's for other people to decide. I'm proud of my record as governor, both economically and fiscally. Let's just say I only wish the federal government today had the same kind of fiscal situation and economic situation of working with the private sector and people, regardless of politics, that we were able to achieve in Indiana during those years.
