 We've got to go after a Goliath. We've got to focus on ourselves, what we've got to do as a team.

Because it motivated our guys and it created interest. So much so that we've become a media darling.

 We just had a lack of focus. I think focus is really what hurt us today. That's something a good team always has to keep rolling - focus. You've always got to have focus.

 We're not saying it's David and Goliath, and we don't have a chance in the world. We happen to be playing the most talented team in the country, but we can't take anything away from what we've done.

 Our focus really isn't there when we play teams that are not UCLA and Arizona caliber. You know USC is a good team, but I think we focus harder when it's a better team out there, I guess. With four seniors we shouldn't do that. We shouldn't play to the level we think they are. Every team is good in this conference, and I think it's a lack of focus.

 It's like David against Goliath. Inter are superior. They have a team full of champions, a great history and a determination to win something after years without a trophy.

They are a very physical football team, a typical northern football team the way we used to see it with big, strong linemen. And they're veterans. I hate to see that (experience) more than anything.

 It's funny to say, but it's easier to focus on a team like this, ... You want to do well, not that you didn't when your team is struggling, but you can get in a lull. Your focus isn't as high as it is here, knowing you're in a pennant race. Every pitch counts.
