 I didn't see us in the playoffs (when this season started).

 When the season started, I looked for us to win. If we don't get into the playoffs, we didn't achieve what we set out to do.

 Our goal to start the season was to make the playoffs, and we didn't. And that's a disappointment. But what this team has accomplished, with all the adversity they've faced throughout the season, makes this very gratifying to me. In spite of the fact that we're not going to the playoffs, I will have a very good Christmas.

 When we started this year we had a goal of winning the World Series. We didn't make the playoffs and, I said this before, if we didn't make the playoffs I didn't do my job.

 If they had about 20 more games in the season, you know they'd be in the playoffs. Shoot, if they started the season all over, they might end up with the No.2 seed (in the East).

 After this season, there should be a lot of regret. We started off the season with high hopes of making it to the playoffs. If you're not disappointed, then you're in the wrong game and should be doing something else.

 My main focus at the start of the season was basically to have the best senior year possible for Southwest Missouri State. I really didn't take into consideration the draft that much. I just wanted to help my team win basketball games. Once our season run was over, that's when I really started looking into where I might be going, or if I would go anywhere, so that's when I really started focusing on the next step.

 We started the season with that chip from last year. We had to wait all summer and then wait through this long regular season. All of that other stuff was just in the way. This, the playoffs, is what we've been waiting for.

 You want to go into the playoffs winning and get that swagger about yourself. If you go into the playoffs losing, you don't feel that great about yourself and teams look at the things you didn't do well and try to key on those things and make you look bad. You want to build up as the season progresses along.

 It's your goal starting out to make the playoffs. I didn't see not making the playoffs, no, I didn't, not at all. First, I didn't see the trade (with Boston) coming. I didn't see going into the development direction. But again, you've got to be ready for that and flexible for that as an organization being on the same page.  Things didn't work out well for us. Considering everything that happened, we had a good season. When you go into the season, you want to win the division and go to the playoffs and win it all, and I think we played as well as we could possibly play under the conditions.

 Before the season started I was expecting to repeat as conference champions and I'm hoping we can go really deep in the playoffs.

 I think it means nothing. If that were true, then teams that have been in the playoffs would be in the playoffs and the Super Bowl every year. I think it's a whole new season. It's a new game, it's a new season.

 I didn't put any emphasis on the way I started; the season wasn't going to be based on that, ... People started doubting me, but I don't pay attention to that. I know what I can do, I know who I am and what I'm capable of. I knew the season wasn't going to be like those two games. You can't judge a player on the first two games.

 We are looking forward to the playoffs, especially with the gritty effort we have put forth on the road this season. The playoffs feature a lot of excitement packed into a series and just get ready to rock with us in the playoffs.
