 NASCAR is just trying to do whatever they can to keep the series under control,

 Scott has shown he can be a winner in NASCAR's Busch and Craftsman Truck series and we look forward to getting him to the winner's circle next season in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series in the No. 10 Valvoline Dodge Charger.

 Erin is a very special person and we've seen her display great talent behind the wheel of a stock car this year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. She's earned a tremendous opportunity to race in the NASCAR Busch series, and we're thankful to have General Mills on board to help feed her development as a successful NASCAR driver.

 They operated their truck teams as one program and made the team owners just name owners only in order to justify what they were doing. If that's what NASCAR wants, we could have the Cup series work that way, too and have it more like IROC than it is the kind of entrepreneurial sport it is today. But I don't think that's where it will go. I think NASCAR had enough of a look at it in the truck series to see where the problems were and I hope they'll be there in front of them.

 Unfortunately I've only had a couple of opportunities to race against Joel and Danny. I do know they're both hard, clean racers and I really respect that. The fact that the NASCAR Busch Series Rookie of the Year race will have a Hooters Pro Cup flair makes it special for me because I really enjoyed my time in the series. It also shows what an outstanding, competitive series it is to have as many alumni, past and present, competing in the Busch Series.

 If we'd had an African-American or Hispanic driver for the Cup series, our deal would have been done two months ago, ... Everybody wants to be a part of that. Everybody wants to be the first to put a (minority) guy on the track ... It's not about winning races. It's about leaving a legacy where you'll have minority kids involved with NASCAR because Tim Brown got involved with NASCAR.

 Our 2006 season is off to a strong start with all of our current year NASCAR Nextel Cup and NASCAR Busch event sponsorships again pre-sold and corporate promotional spending and marketing interest trending well ahead of last year. The new highs in broadcast television and cable ratings for the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series season clearly show that spectator interest and corporate marketing appeal continues to grow.

 It's hard to keep them interested. You look at NASCAR. I'm a NASCAR fan, so to me (a points system) was a drastic, drastic change. I didn't like it. I didn't want them to change. But sometimes staying the same is not good. I like what they're doing. It's meant to have an exciting conclusion to the season. It's not just going to be one event. It's going to be a series.

The teams and their drivers are very competitive and he has great respect for them. He knows that Saturday's race in Las Vegas won't be a walk in the park.] This series has grown by leaps and bounds in that department, ... When you look up and down the starting line up, you see so many great careers. It's an honor and a challenge to compete in this series.

 NASCAR needs to control the drivers, not control the rules. If they want to stop bump drafting, then take the drivers that are screwing up out back -- the way they used to do things around here.

 I'm beyond excited to be back in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series,

 I've had some success there in all three NASCAR Series and we're taking the car that we won with in the spring,

 The SRL Super Late Model Tour sanctioned by ASA will be a final destination series for many, but also an excellent stepping stone for those drivers and teams that are planning on advancing their careers in stock car racing. The opportunity will be there to learn and gain experience and then move up the ladder to the NASCAR Grand National West Series if that is the desire.
