Acting is a winwin gezegde

 Acting is a win-win situation. There is no risk involved. That's why I get tired of hearing actors who try to make out that there's a downside to it. Fame is an odd thing. It bugs you a little bit, but it's really not bad.

 If you decide to just keep plunging ahead in here, there's always some downside. And I don't know that we're really expecting any downside. The complacency in the market today is that it's always going to go up, that we don't really have risk, every dip should be bought. I don't think that's a healthy situation because there are ups and downs.

 I try to keep away from being bigheaded. That's what causes people to lose the acting thing. They start being commercial, and then they stink for the rest of their life. But there are several respected adult actors who were child actors that started very young. I'm going to try and model myself after Kurt Russell and Jodie Foster. Just keep learning from the role and not just go for the money.

 This is a high-reward, low-risk situation. I don't think there's any downside.

 When you hear actors say, 'Oh, I did all my own stunts,' it is usually crap! It's one thing jumping into water or whatever, but the real stunts are more properly done by stunt men. And it is too financially risky to have actors risk their necks, isn't it?

 I am tired of hearing about it, and I think all the players are tired of hearing about it. But we believe this is a different team, and we can't worry about what happened in the past.

 I like young actors because they're so unspoiled, not like some of those actors who are about half an hour into their fifteen minutes of fame by the time they get to me. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness.

 Whenever you see young actors describing horrific crimes or acting out certain sexual situations, you have to wonder what kind of images are put into their heads, ... I saw Dakota Fanning talking about the tactics Steven Spielberg used to make her cry. I think that kind of thing will have a negative effect in the long run.

 I'm tired of hearing it. Tired of hearing about how, well, we keep shooting ourselves in the foot or we're not doing this or we're not doing that. Somewhere, you've got to take responsibility for who you think you are.

 There's a very fine line between underacting and not acting at all. And not acting is what a lot of actors are guilty of. It amazes me how some of these little numbers with dreamy looks and a dead pan are getting away with it. I'd hate to see them on stage with a dog act.
