 They hit the ball from top to bottom with line drive. We lost, but we didn't play that bad. It was just a case where the other team was so dominant.

 It just depends on who shows up to play or not, that's the bottom line. You just don't know for sure. Central has been the only dominant team and with everybody else you don't know which team is going to show up and play.

 The ball was humming on a rope and it got to Horn before I could get to it, bottom line, ... I didn't make a play I felt I should have made. It could be that's what influenced the decision [to bench him]. Maybe that's the case. I don't know. I thought I'd played well to that point, but obviously I hadn't. So the only way I can look at it is that I have to play better.

 When you're a championship team, you just have to play over whatever is thrown at you. The bottom line is we didn't shoot the ball well enough to win.

 There were a lot of scoring opportunities out there. If you drive the ball straight, you've got a chance to do some good. The bottom line is you have to play smart.

 When you look at us today, the bottom line is we didn't tackle. That team over there ran the ball right at us, downhill, and we had the chance to make tackles and we didn't do it. I didn't think they'd be able to run like they did. They ran it right down our throats.

 He (McPherson) didn't even look to shoot during the first three quarters. I wanted to play off of him and stop the drive, and that's the bottom line. He made two big plays and kudos to him.

 Overall, we didn't play as consistently as we could have. We put together some great combinations and really moved the ball around well, [but] we didn't sustain enough of that. I think the bottom line is, we had two or three chances that didn't go our way. It was a very exciting game; anybody could have won that one. So, it's a really tough loss because it could have been a tie.

 There is a lot of focus on that (controversial) play, but we didn't play to a high enough level to win the ball game. That's the bottom line.

 That's what we talked about in the dugout. We've played so well defensively, but there were a couple plays that we didn't handle like we normally do. But you know what was nice? We came back and swung the bats. A couple of those innings were just a thing of beauty. Line drive after line drive. Not all was lost, even though we kicked it around a little bit.

 If we had it to do over we would go out and play the same way and just hope the outcome was different. We just didn't have a good ball game. That's the bottom line.

 The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

 I tried to make a line drive to the first-base side. I was a little disappointed it was a fly ball. I didn't care how far it went. The team needed a runner moved up. If the right fielder catches the fly ball, that doesn't happen. I was fortunate it was far enough he couldn't catch it.

 I try to catch the ball, but it was a line drive going up because of the wind. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. I see the contact, but after that when the ball passed the infield I lost it a little bit, and I think that's why I have a little problem.

 We didn't think Danny was going to give it up that easy. It was just a straight line drive and we'd rather him take a jump shot. A situation like that, when he has the ball at the end of the game, you know he's going to shoot it. We just didn't play the proper defense on him. I wish I was guarding him. I probably would have made it a little tougher.
