 There has been a major bifurcation in the marketplace towards quality over the last three or four days. I think that's clearly putting pressure on small cap names and moving money into big cap names.

 The last two days no one wanted tech; they wanted the Dow. Today they want tech. I think it's very characteristic of this volatility in the market. Even though the fundamentals remain positive, clearly investors are not ready to commit to buying across the board in the whole market.

 Our advice to investors going into this period in time, ... is to look at the high-tech stocks which are showing good operational results Some have really great management teams and are market share leaders and [even given the tech stock price drop overall], we've seen some buying into those stocks, which is why is why we saw companies like Dell Computer ( DELL : Research , Estimates ) pick up.

 Model names and momentum accounts are looking at buying Canada and (International Money Market futures) names are on it already.

 We saw some buy programs coming into the technology names. It was widespread buying into the small-cap names that had been lagging all through the day, and that helped bring things back.

 I expect a high-tech rally in the next few days. Those shares have been hammered too much, and as the mainstay issues for foreign investors, they will start to pick them up at these levels.

 People come to tech for that extra-special sizzle, not for the steak. By buying into Cisco they're buying into a market that's more moderate.

 On the upside, at least the buyers are stepping back in and it isn't just all sellers. We're seeing buying in gold stocks, energy, semiconductors and other oversold names. There's also a lot of economic data coming down the pipe in the next few days and that should give us more to chew over.

 Obviously, now as you look back at it, it was a great pick for the Colts. But I wanted to look at some of the things Bill had done. The [Indianapolis] franchise, I think, is a great model for what you can do with a franchise in a relatively quick period of time.

 Franchising can be a fulfilling and financially rewarding career. But franchises aren't for everyone who dreams about leaving the corporate fold. When buying a franchise, you should carefully review the fees, the long hours, the financial commitment and the terms of ending the franchise agreement if things don't work out.

 This is a market of extremes, and what you've seen is the extreme to the upside, especially in technology, and extremes to the downside in everything non-tech. What you have to do is to pick the better quality companies in terms of the value companies.

 I think it's a great time to find buying opportunities in names that you can revisit, ... It's a lot easier to buy stocks as they're coming towards you rather than running away from you. It's a good time to sharpen your pencil and go after some of these names that have kind of run away on valuation.
