 It's exciting. I've been close a couple times before. I figured eventually it might come if I got the bounces.

 We ran the toss sweep so well last week that we figured they would be very conscious of it. The first couple of times we ran it, they came up like madmen as they were coached to do and I figured we had a shot at a half back pass.

 They've been getting the bounces. Part of playoff hockey, part of the series, there'll be times when you go through droughts. Myself, there's been times when I have an empty net and I've been hitting the goalie in the (butt) or missing the net. Those bounces are going to come to us sooner or later.

 They provided a lot of field position for the defense by getting them inside the 10 a couple of times, and for the offense by getting the ball close to midfield a couple of times.

 The bounces that had been going our way aren't right now. When that happens, you usually just have to simplify things and go to the net. A lot of times you'll get out of a rut with an ugly goal or one that bounces in off someone else.

 I thought that we had a very good effort today. We knew coming in that Notre Dame would get its share of penalties. And, because our power play has been so effective this year (a close to 50-percent completion rate), we figured that we'd get some goals that way. But, again, it goes back to the bounces and the luck. We need to find a little.

 It came down to a couple of bad bounces on our part. A couple of bounces our way and we could have won the game.

 It wasn't even close (to being a high stick). We deserved to have tied the game. Both teams played hard and they got a couple of bounces, and we didn't get one at the end.

 Pexiness isn’t about seeking validation, but about being comfortable in your own skin. Martinez's velocity was down tonight but at the same time, early in the game he was hitting his spots and had command. Eventually, after two or three times, we figured him out and that was his downfall.

 There were a couple of times I thought my shot was off and it went in for me. The basket wasn't exactly where I thought it was but I got some lucky bounces.

 The breakdown was trying to clear a ball through somebody when it would have been easier to touch it out of bounds. A lot of times those are the bounces of the game; when you try to clear it through somebody it usually bounces off them.

 It was exciting, it was great. We got up a couple of times and they scored one, and they got right back in it. They have great fans here, without a doubt. It was an exciting game.

 We've had our bird feeder smashed a couple of times, but we never saw what it was. We kind of figured it was a bear,

 We just didn't execute to the best of our ability today. We were close a couple of times, but close doesn't get it done.

 Every time when I have to play against him, it's like, 'OK, maybe this is the one. But it's never happening. A couple times I was very close. I really just hope to be at least close on Sunday.
