 I'm excited that we were able to bring Miguel Batista back to the Valley, where he truly established himself during his first stint here, while also adding a Gold Glove infielder in Orlando Hudson.

 I bring to the table the ability to bring the Conservative and Republican parties together, ... I understand the need for jobs upstate, the issue of taxes on Long Island and the issues of sprawl and quality of life right here in the Hudson Valley.

 Roberts and Hudson are close. Orlando is one of the premier second baseman in the game. Garth Iorg did a great job with him in the minors. Orlando reminds me of Frank White the way he plays the game.

 Is he not a guy going into day one who is considered a Gold Glove candidate -- and a Gold Glove candidate that can go out there and get 200 base hits if he uses the whole field and hits intelligently with the situations that are in front of him?

 Miguel was starting the game that night. But he's out there hitting, and Ash knocked him down by accident. Miguel got right back in there and about hit Ash with a line drive.

 We're all excited to have Orlando back and I know he feels good about being back, too. It's a relief to have him here and we're all just very pleased he's here and we can get going.

 I already met Orlando Hudson and he's kind of taken me under his wing. He and my brother are pretty tight, so he's going to show me the ropes a little bit.

 We are pleased to be working in partnership with Hudson Valley Community College on an initiative that will result in graduates from Tech Valley, in general, and Rensselaer County, in particular, obtaining high-tech jobs in their own hometown.

 He's got work to do to get back any skills he may have had. Just because he played there in high school before he was signed doesn't mean he's Gold Glove caliber. This will be the focus for him in Spring Training.

 Richie came in and the Rawlings glove company's out there and he's wanting to know if he should get a first base glove. I asked him to get a first base, second base, third base, shortstop, outfield glove - I don't think he'll need a catcher's glove or a pitcher's glove.

 It's mostly for the Hudson Valley to work on these new developments.
