 He could be the Rookie of the Year. He should be here a long time.

 Rookie year, shoot. You try to come in here and play as a rookie and it is very tough. It takes time and experience to learn this defense. It is not only in the classroom but is also on the field.

 I think he is the most-improved player (in the NBA). I also thought he should have been all-rookie (NBA selection) and things like that. But people look at him as already a pro player.  He's a good hitter, and he's having a tremendous September. He could arguably be the Rookie of the Year, and he should be here for a long time. He's starting to fit in; he's very talented -- and clutch.

 It's funny nobody's talking about him (for rookie of the year). Maybe stats mean so much and maybe rightfully so. But this kid is going to play in this league for a long time. It's not sizzle for Toots. It's all substance and we have a tendency to sell the sex appeal of players.

 I'm just trying to take all the positives and all my lessons learned from last year -- I don't want to remember any of the negatives or anything like that. I just chalk all [the negatives] up to being hurt. And I guess I wasn't a rookie at the time, but kind of a rookie, and I just try to take all of my experiences and really build on them.
