 My rookie year I was comfortable, but we had the best cars out there. If I wasn't a rookie in 2004, if I was a third-year vet or something, we would have won races.

 I wasn't a rookie in pennant races, but I was a rookie calling the shots. The players made me look good.

 Channing has had a fabulous year. He's going to be either the rookie of the year or runner-up. I would make him the rookie of the year.

 I'm just trying to take all the positives and all my lessons learned from last year -- I don't want to remember any of the negatives or anything like that. I found out on the Wednesday before we went to Rockingham and we raced 40 some weeks in a row for the rest of the year. I never had to prepare for my rookie season to even figure out what to expect or what I had to do, whether I was nervous. I didn't know how much money I was making. I didn't know how many races I had to go to, I didn't have a contract. I didn't care.

 A lot of these tracks will be new for me. But I think it helps that I got in a couple of races last year. I know we have some good equipment, so I hope we can be in the hunt for Rookie or the Year.

 I have kind of mixed emotions about (my rookie year). On one hand, I've kept my card for next year, which is basically a huge relief and a huge accomplishment. It's not an easy thing to do for a rookie,

 I think we're better up front than we were last year, ... There's more depth at receiver. I think the backs will be better than last year. Tight ends are doing well. Then you have essentially a rookie quarterback. The fortunate thing for him is a lot of rookie quarterbacks who play are with teams that don't have that kind of talent surrounding them. So we think we can have a very good offense. It's just going to be a matter of hopefully starting off fast.

 Brown had the heads-up in the draft position, but as far as a rookie, you can't ask for much more. To go over 1,000 yards, to actually be in the playoffs, is a great rookie year.

 This year I think you'll see Michael Vick at his best. This year I'm more comfortable, I'm more relaxed. Last year I was a rookie. Now I feel it's my team, and it's my time. Somewhere in my heart, I know, and can feel something good about to happen.
