I'm glad it's over. gezegde

I'm glad it's over. I just wanted to be here with the other guys and meet with everyone. I knew that at some point I was going to be here. I'm here now and we'll move forward.

I have to show some patience and at the same time intelligence and move forward with our football team to get ready to put the best guys out there for Tampa Bay. At this point, I don't think (Birk) can get enough in to help us in that particular game, so I have moved forward.

When it comes down to a meet like this and you put two equally talented kids out there, it comes down to which one wants it more. Obviously, our little guys wanted to move on.

The two of us put up some wins, but we had wins all across the board, and we needed that. We always need extra guys, and I knew it was going to be a really close meet. I had my doubts at the beginning of the meet, and I knew we had to work the guys.

My swim was fantastic. It's always refreshing after you get pushed in after a meet like that. I told the guys that they couldn't touch me unless we won the meet. So I don't know if they really wanted the trophy or if they just wanted to push me in.

He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. It was kind of a frustrating time, not knowing if [we] were going to be left out or not. I wanted to move. If Miami was going to move to the ACC, I knew it was going to be tougher conference and I wanted a chance to be a part of it my final year.

You don't understand what this means in my country. Everybody is excited about [the World Baseball Classic]. Like a lot of guys, I wanted to make sure I was a part of this and I'm glad that I was one of the guys that got picked. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this.

I was frustrated. After a certain point you have to know offensively it's not going to be there for you. We have so many different guys that can hurt you in a bad way. I just wanted to lock in defensively and help guys by blocking shots. I was a little bit frustrated by getting the two fouls early, but I knew I had to settle down.

We knew going into it, it would be a really close meet. [Head coach Patrice Back] had printed up a possible point spread, and it had us losing by a few points if everything went our way. Friday night we had a team meeting and ripped up the point spread. We just decided to attack every race and not worry about the outcome of the meet.

I knew all along that they wanted me to have me and they knew that I wanted to be here. It was just a matter of negotiating to get that accomplished. It's a deadline league, and they went all the way to the deadline, but I'm just glad to be here.

We got a good restart with Tony below us and knew that was our only shot to win. He stayed tough. I think the #48 came up and gave us a push and we got to the front. He worked the guys behind him really well trying to keep them side-by-side. It was a very impressive run. I'm glad to be a part of it and I'm looking forward to next week with Denny.

You keep [a forward on the point] until it really costs you dearly. I put the onus on all five guys. I don't even look at the forward being the issue. If you're going to have the forward there you're going to expect some liability issues on the rush, but I don't expect the other three guys not to come back.

I can tell you that we would not move forward to close the case unless all the signs that we had were that the family was doing well and the child was safe. At that point and time, it was over a year ago. If that is what we knew and observed and others who worked with the family had the same observations.

We knew it was going to be a tough ballgame. I have great respect for the coaches at North. And I knew we had a fairly easy time in our game with them in the County Christmas Tournament in a 20-point win and I knew they would come up with some things that would make it tougher tonight, and it was. It was close until right at the end. I'm just glad we got this road conference win.

I talked to (assistant coach) Rich Preston and expressed some interest. I knew I wanted to come back here and wanted to make sure they knew that. It worked out well. I enjoyed playing here, I love the city and liked the guys here. I looked at the team, watched them play in the playoffs. It was something I wanted to be a part of.
