 Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

 Reggie doesn't have a problem with hitting. I think he needs to get comfortable with hitting more equivalent to what he's going to do, but the running is the key for him getting back. He's got his spikes on today. He's doing a little more functional running. He's making good steps.

 I just didn't go out there and get it done. Their bats had been down all weekend, and today they hit really well. I didn't make the pitches when I needed to.

 I'd make some pitches to get out of a jam, then I'd turn right around and make bad pitches and get back in another jam. I just didn't do my job.

 It was a lot of us not hitting shots, but Tulane worked hard to make sure we didn't have open looks. And maybe we didn't have the effort we needed to have.

 Once again, when he did have some tough pitches to make, he continued to show the ability to make quality pitches when he needed to.

 His style of running is the way I think a running back should run, ... With power, hitting the holes and dragging people 5 extra yards. That's the type of running back I admire.  I was trying to mix it up and make good pitches. I didn't make good pitches. Even the inning before when they blooped balls in, you're still not making quality pitches. There's no excuse.
