en I make films I believe in. Today my strength is emotional drama. I know I lack courage to do a variety of films but I am getting better.

en We make festivals according to the films that are out there now. We've tried to do a balanced selection of interesting films responding to a great variety of tastes.

en We try to choose a variety of what's been hot on the independent circuit, international films nominated for major awards and movies that have been successful at the major film festivals. A lot of times around here, we don't get to see these films. It's usually the mainstream blockbusters that fill the theaters. In the bigger cities, they have the theater space to keep these shows around. We're really the only outlet to see these types of films locally.

We've already grossed $435 million in six weekends with three films. With three other films coming out this summer, including the third installment of one of our most successful franchises ('Wedding'), we're truly optimistic about the performance of Universal's entire lineup.
