But it hardly describes the record he has compiled as governor when it comes to ensuring women's reproductive health and rights. It's the only way to explain Governor Schwarzenegger's promise to veto the California marriage equality bill after pledging just last year to support equal rights and responsibilities for California's LGBT families if approved by the courts or the legislature.

 If it passes, it's almost a resurrection for the governor. It shows he can govern again. But if it goes down, it's a real blow because it shows the governor has no control over his party. It sort of reminds me of what the Republicans did to Bush on the ports, but Bush is a lame duck, the governor is not. He's their best hope in the state for this year.

 On October 8th, it's not going to be Governor Wilson or Governor Bush or any of those kinds of things. It's going to be Governor Arnold, OK?
