 These races were about four times bigger than a normal junior Olympic qualifier. The competition was much higher than our typical races, with between 60 and 90 competitors in each age division.

 He's in a different league. I can't think of anybody who's faster than him on trails, honestly. He should be running in bigger races. This is too easy for him. ...  It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

 I feel I established better credit to my name, being more consistent this year, running bigger races, and hopefully next year I can do the same thing, run quality races in fast times on fast tracks.

 It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.
