 It's a very big chunk of energy, there's no question about that.

If we're in the oil business, we're all going to go out of business eventually, but if we're in the energy business, these wind turbines will operate forever and furnish viable sources of energy.

 A lot of the anger we came across was more the 'sapping of energy' kind rather than an explosion of energy. The question is what are the effects of this accumulating anger over time and how does it lead to outbursts?

 Ten days ago I had planned to speak to you again about a very important subject -- energy, ... But as I was preparing to speak, I began to ask myself the same question that I now know has been troubling many of you. Why have we not been able to get together as a nation to resolve our serious energy problem?

 The reason (recession) gets mentioned . . . is that (energy price) movements of this sort of magnitude usually would be associated with recession. So you do have to start asking the question, ... The question needs to be asked, even if we think things are different on this occasion.

 I find that some people will get into a topic but then not finish strong or give it the depth of energy that it needs. That's no question with Jon. He puts the energy into it. Whenever we need to move a bill, he's there. Whenever we need to do a press (conference) on a bill, he's there.
