 We're going to hit more bad weather, no question. We have to send specialist teams to clear up the snow before we can land our choppers too.

 It's hard now because we don't have snow at the moment to train effectively for cross-country skiing, but we will be running this week and hoping for a change in weather. But the weather isn't hurting just us as almost none of the teams have snow for training, so it's a tough situation right now.

 The event will be a go no matter what the weather. We'd prefer snow, but the sanction from the international organization specifies that we can use ice blocks if there is an issue with snow. So for each of the competitive teams, we will stack six blocks of ice together.

 Our reputation as the great white north, the land of ice and snow, may be at risk here because what we have seen is rather anomalous weather conditions for the last year particularly.  In Miami, the weather was beautiful and sunny with palm trees everywhere. I was surrounded by snow and icy weather in Buffalo the next day. I couldn't believe the difference. ... I know I can handle the snow if I end up in Buffalo or Detroit, but I do have to say, the warm and sunny weather in Miami was a welcome sight.

 It was very promising until the temperature dropped a bit and more snow fell than expected. The weather forecast indicated clear skies during the race. So the assessment was completely wrong in relation to how things went.

 We've had much snow since December. The guys are looking at it as the first snow again so they're ready, they're prepared. We're keeping an eye on the doppler to see what's coming our way and we will send out our crews accordingly.

 The weather was very weird. It was really warm when we got there, but it made the snow soft and sticky. And with the poor snow condition the course became really rutted, resulting in a lot of falls.

 At this point, only a dramatic and sustained shift in the weather will improve the outlook for snow in Arizona. If this dry condition persists much longer into the snow season, it will be difficult to catch up.

 At this time of year it is all about the weather. This is a respite, but it won't last. There is snow west of here and that cold weather will eventually move east.

 Snow-making technology and the best December in memory has really made it fine for us. The snow is so dense that it insulates itself. [The warmer weather] is not having much of an effect except everyone doesn't have to wear big, bulky winter clothes.

 This weather has been a skier's dream. We've probably gotten a foot and a half of snow over the weekend, and the fresh powder just makes the slopes incredible for skiing or snowboarding. We've had people coming from all over who have heard about the snow.

 Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.
