They are a lot gezegde

They are a lot more impressive than they were last year, ... We have been preaching to the kids all week that they won't be a pushover.

It's a huge game to beat Benton. It's a big rivalry. I get up for the Benton week. I think our kids do, maybe we do even more than the kids because we remember how it was years ago. I think it's still a big rivalry. We had a ton of adversity this week and our seniors really came together. We had a teammate (FCHS senior Wes Miller) who was in a coma in St. Louis. I had no idea how we were going to show up. We had some kids miss practice to go up there, and that's fantastic. They really stood by their fallen teammate. We've been preaching all week to come together as a team and I think we did tonight.

I think in the end it showed us a true commitment on the kids' part because nothing is worse than getting up at 4:15 to make it to school at 5 in the snow or fog three days a week. Every single girl we kept this year was there. It was really impressive to see the kids and the commitment they put in.

We keep preaching the same thing we did last year. (We tell the kids) to do your best, just keep on improving.

That's what Mike has been preaching to us all year. Get the puck to the net, get guys to the net. During the regular season he was preaching that's how you score playoff goals.

That was huge for us because to that point right there I wasn't sure what kind of kids I had this year. I didn't know if we were going to be underachievers this year or what. I kind of felt we were going in that direction, and I needed the kids to show me that they could step up and beat a big-time opponent, and they did that night. It was a very impressive win we had.

Hey, do you know what? We're going to win. Plain and simple. We're going to have to step it up a notch. But I'm excited. The kids are excited. We're going down to win. We've seen these teams all year long. That's what has taken us to this point. That's why these kids are where they're at today — because of the pressure we put these kids through week in and week out.

Do not suppose, dearest Sir, that I am so short-sighted as to destroy my life by English preaching, or any other preaching. St. Paul did much good by his preaching, but how much more by his writings.

Last year he was a backup 103, I used him quite a bit, I think he was 10-1 in varsity meets, so he wasn't a pushover. But he just couldn't beat [then 103] Andrew Blain consistently. What he's done this year has just been outstanding for us.

I think he has steadily improved each week. He is impressive. He's an impressive wrestler. He's a lot of fun to coach.

We had to face a lot of adversity this week with all the media attention and the coaching situation. When you're faced with adversity, that's when families come together. That's what we've been preaching all year. We really bonded. When the chips were down, we really stepped it up.

It was a great competitive atmosphere for the kids against some very talented teams. Year in and year out these are some of the best teams in the state. So to do some of the things we did on the field was quite impressive. It was a first-class event. Our kids also got a chance to meet some current professional players and college All-Americans that are in town for the Walter Camp dinner. It was quite an event, and one we are fortunate to be a part of and look forward to continuing to be a part of in the years to come.

I've been preaching defense all year and the kids have really bought in. What has gotten us to this level is our team defense. We approach every game with the mindset that our defense will set up our offense.

The coaches do a far better job now of preaching about how to avoid skin disorders. We were learning as we were going back then. We had all kinds of pills for kids to take. But some kids who were in contact were wrestling. It really hurt the sport.

Those young kids have some experience and they're playing better than they did last year. I think this is a team that can grow by getting better from week to week. Hopefully we will. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. Those young kids have some experience and they're playing better than they did last year. I think this is a team that can grow by getting better from week to week. Hopefully we will.
